Officer Hartmann talks with kids during one of the safety assemblies at the Fairbank Public Library, in which children from the elementary school gather after school to participate in educational safety activities.  The safety assemblies are held directly after school on various announced dates.  Kids are quizzed on their safety knowledge and learn safety tips on several different topics from bicycle/pedestrian safety to fire safety and the dangers of talking to strangers.  At the end of the assemblies, drawings are held for a chance to win prizes.
