William Sackett - Chief of Police

Chief Sackett began his law enforcement career in 2003 after being hired as a reserve officer with the Fairbank Police Department. In the fall of 2004 he was promoted to full time, and was appointed to Chief of Police in March 2005. Chief Sackett was born and raised in Arlington and graduated from Starmont High School in 2002. He then attended Hawkeye Community College, where he achieved his AAS in Police Science. After being appointed as a full time officer, he attended and graduated from the Intermediate Iowa Law Enforcement Academy at Hawkeye Community College. Chief Sackett lives in Fairbank with his wife, Trisha. He is an Eagle Scout and enjoys outdoor activities including camping and fishing. He is also a football fan and a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
